Qualifications

    • David studied Building Construction in the UK, and successfully passed the RICS and CIOB accredited examinations. He then worked as an architectural and surveying assistant in Kent before joining John Laing Construction Company as a site engineer.
    • He moved to France in 1974 and has been involved with property renovation, surveying and valuations ever since. His 40 years of “hands-on” building experience has been invaluable to many English speakers. He took time out to study French property markets and economy, property valuation and planning law at the highly respected “Institut des études économiques et juridiques appliqués à la Construction et à l’Habitation” (ICH) at Marseille and Aix-en-Provence.
    • David later studied valuation of small businesses and commercial property at the renowned Paris based professional school, “Ecole Supérieure de l’Immobilier”.

    • His business practice, conformity to professional standards and continuing education is monitored and regulated in France by the “Chambre des Experts Immobiliers – FNAIM” (member n° 1104).

When working with surveyors we require similar academic qualifications, French or English but above all, they must have a solid experience of French architectural history and building techniques.
